Current diagnostic context
ACOG’s 2026 guidance supports a clinical diagnosis based on history, symptoms and examination so treatment can begin while evaluation continues. NICE recommends ultrasound for suspected endometriosis but states that a normal examination or scan does not exclude it.
Editorial standard
These pages use ACOG, NICE and ESHRE guidance, state where diet evidence is limited, and never present outside clinicians as authors or reviewers.
