In the inspected U.S. table, Grilled Teriyaki Chicken has 38 g protein and 280 calories, String Bean Chicken has 15 g and 210 calories, and Orange Chicken has 19 g and 560 calories. These are the restaurant’s three different full entree portions.
Read the entree before adding a base
| Order and portion | Calories | Protein (g) | Carbs (g) | Fat (g) | Fiber (g) | Sodium (mg) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Panda Express · Grilled Teriyaki Chicken 6.1 oz | 280 | 38 | 13 | 9 | 0 | 610 |
| Panda Express · String Bean Chicken 5.6 oz | 210 | 15 | 15 | 10 | 3 | 600 |
| Panda Express · Orange Chicken 6.2 oz | 560 | 19 | 63 | 25 | 1 | 1,000 |
Hold the rice portion constant
Panda’s full 12 oz white-rice base contributes 570 calories, 11 g protein and 129 g carbohydrate. Adding that same source portion to each entree gives these calculated orders:
- Teriyaki chicken plus white rice: 850 calories and 49 g protein.
- String bean chicken plus white rice: 780 calories and 26 g protein.
- Orange chicken plus white rice: 1,130 calories and 30 g protein.
These are GetMacros sums, not three separately published combo totals. They assume full source-table portions with no other entree, sauce packet or drink. A half-side order is a different calculation.
A lower-calorie entree is not always the highest-protein one
String Bean Chicken has the fewest calories of these three portions, but Teriyaki Chicken has more than twice its protein. Orange Chicken has a different carbohydrate and fat profile as well. The table lets you choose the constraint rather than relying on the word “chicken.”
For the base decision, compare rice, chow mein and Super Greens portions. Panda’s separate teriyaki sauce entry is 70 calories per 1.8 oz; it is not silently included in these extra-sauce-free calculations.
Sources and date boundaries
These are selected U.S. portions, not a complete menu survey. Extra drinks, sides and sauce packets are excluded unless named. Published portions can differ from the food actually served.
